Forest Management Certification

Forest certification is the independent third-party verification that a forest meets specific requirements for sustainable use.  Recognised standards have been developed for forest certification, the most well-known of which are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Forest Management Certification and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Forest Certification.

Country specific schemes are also used such as SFI in the USA, CSA in Canada, CERTFOR in Chile and MTCS in Malaysia.

The principles of all are similar, environmentally sustainable forestry, compliance with local laws, and workers rights and employment conditions.

EnviroSense has the experience to help set up and maintain forestry certification, along with other forestry services.
